Important: These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Home of Pilates website (www.homeofpilates.uk), mobile application, and all associated services including class bookings, memberships, and payments. By registering for an account, booking a class, or purchasing any product or membership, you agree to be bound by these terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

About Us

Home of Pilates is a Pilates studio operating in Sheffield, United Kingdom. We provide in-studio Pilates classes for all fitness levels, including beginners, intermediate, and advanced practitioners, as well as specialised classes such as pre/postnatal Pilates.

Our services are accessed through our website at www.homeofpilates.uk and our mobile application, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Membership & Account Registration

To book classes and access our full range of services, you must create a member account. By registering, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 16 years of age
  • All information provided during registration is accurate, current, and complete
  • You will keep your account details secure and not share your login credentials with others
  • You will notify us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account
  • You accept these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy in full

Each individual must have their own unique account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are found to contain false information, or are used in a manner that disrupts our services or other members.

Class Bookings

All classes must be booked in advance through our website or mobile application. The following conditions apply to all bookings:

  • Bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only once payment or a valid credit has been applied
  • You will receive a booking confirmation via email once your booking is successfully processed
  • Each booking is personal to the account holder and is non-transferable to another person
  • It is your responsibility to ensure you book the correct class, date, and time
  • You must arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled class start time. We cannot guarantee entry to latecomers and reserve the right to refuse late entry to protect the class experience for other members
  • If you cannot attend, please cancel as per our Cancellation Policy to free the space for other members
Waiting Lists: When a class is fully booked, you may join the waiting list. If a space becomes available, you will be notified by email and SMS and will have 20 minutes to confirm your booking. If you do not respond within this window, the space will be offered to the next person on the list.

Pricing, Packages & Subscriptions

We offer several pricing options to suit different needs:

  • Single Class Drop-In: Pay per individual class with no commitment required. Price valid at time of booking.
  • Class Packages: Purchase bundles of 5, 10, or 20 classes at a discounted rate. Valid for a specified period from the date of purchase.
  • Monthly Subscriptions: Access a set number of classes or unlimited classes per month. Auto-renews monthly unless cancelled.
  • Introductory Offer: Available to first-time members only. May not be used in conjunction with any other offer.

All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Existing package and subscription holders will be notified of any price changes at least 30 days in advance.

Subscription Auto-Renewal: Monthly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle. By purchasing a subscription, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time via your account settings or by contacting us, effective from the end of your current billing period.

Packages and credits have defined validity periods from the date of purchase. Unused credits that expire will not be refunded or rolled over unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a globally trusted payment platform. We accept major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

  • Payment is required at the time of booking for single classes and package purchases
  • Subscription payments are taken automatically at the start of each billing cycle
  • We do not store your payment card details. All card data is handled entirely by Stripe in compliance with PCI DSS standards
  • A payment confirmation will be emailed to you after each successful transaction
  • If a payment fails, we will notify you and your booking or subscription may be placed on hold until payment is resolved

All transactions are subject to Stripe's terms of service. In the event of a payment dispute, please contact us in the first instance before raising a chargeback with your card provider.

Cancellations & Refunds

Please refer to our full Cancellation Policy for complete details. In summary:

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a class will receive a full credit back to your account
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the class start time will not receive a credit or refund
  • No-shows (failure to attend without cancellation) will not receive a credit or refund
  • Class credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Refunds to the original payment method are at our discretion and only considered in exceptional circumstances

If we cancel a class for any reason, all affected bookings will receive a full credit returned to their account within 24 hours.

Health, Safety & Medical Conditions

Your health and safety is our highest priority. Before participating in any class:

  • You must inform your instructor of any medical conditions, injuries, physical limitations, or recent surgeries that may affect your ability to participate safely
  • If you are pregnant or have recently given birth, please inform us so we can ensure you are placed in the appropriate class
  • If you have a known medical condition, you should consult your GP or healthcare provider before beginning any exercise programme
  • By attending our classes, you confirm that you are physically fit to do so and are not aware of any medical condition that would make your participation inadvisable
Important: Home of Pilates and its instructors are not liable for any injury, illness, or adverse health effects arising from participation in our classes, provided that our instructors have not acted negligently. Please read and sign our Health & Safety Waiver before your first class.

Code of Conduct

All members and visitors are expected to conduct themselves respectfully at all times. The following behaviour will not be tolerated:

  • Disruptive, aggressive, or offensive behaviour towards staff, instructors, or other members
  • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying
  • Misuse of studio equipment or facilities
  • Arriving intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
  • Unauthorised photography or video recording of other members or staff
  • Sharing account credentials or booking classes on behalf of another person

We reserve the right to ask any person to leave the premises and/or terminate their membership without refund in cases of serious misconduct.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website and mobile application, including but not limited to text, images, logos, videos, class descriptions, and software, is the intellectual property of Home of Pilates or its licensors and is protected by UK copyright and intellectual property law.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission
  • Our logo and brand name "Home of Pilates" may not be used without express written consent
  • Any feedback or suggestions you provide to us may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of our services
  • Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim
  • We are not responsible for losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to extreme weather, public health emergencies, or utility failures
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation

Changes to Classes & Services

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, cancel, or reschedule classes at any time. We will give as much notice as possible for planned changes
  • Substitute instructors where necessary due to illness or unforeseen circumstances
  • Temporarily close the studio for maintenance, holidays, or safety reasons
  • Amend our pricing, products, and services with 30 days' notice to active subscribers

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Amendments to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify registered members by email. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
